Open For Business. What is the Best Model For YOU?

Updated: Oct 9, 2022

Are you considering starting a business, or at least would love to have additional income coming in, but aren't sure which way to turn? So many options. - which one is the best for YOU and your family?

First, you could buy a business. A brick and mortar store. But to do that you'll need money to invest, then for insurance, rent, electric, trash, water, etc. Of course, with a brick and mortar store you might need an employee or two or more unless you plan to be there all the open hours. Now you've got all kinds of fees that come along with that building rent, heat, air, electric, plus salaries, insurance, workmans' compensation, and on, and on, and on. Also, you need products, which means upfront cash. And most likely you'll need advertising, a website, an accountant.

I know these costs and bills firsthand. We have a full service, auto care business. While my husband was, amazingly, able to keep it afloat through covid - we barely kept our heads above water. The bills are never-ending. Health care continues to skyrocket as do the taxes and employee compensation, and general product costs. But for some people this is the way to go. It is their dream, and they have the finances and the fortitude to deal with the ups and downs of cash flow. They are made to handle the stress ~ and indeed, may thrive on it!

That is not my thing, but my husband handles it well. Even so, the past few years have made store ownership all the more stressful and dicey, even for some one made for it.

So, what else? You can also start your own online business. Find or make products. Advertise. Build a website, and a website store for e-commerce, buy products, and rent a warehouse for storage. Handle all of the mailing, customer service, and troubleshooting, Make sure everything is compliant with all government rules, etc. Still fairly high monthly costs. But it's an exciting option, with the world as your market (if you can get into other countries), and less upfront money needed than a brick and mortar option.

OR, there is another option. You could check into this e-commerce opportunity. The "buy in" is less than a most people spend on their monthly internet bill. Then for a low monthly costs, which pays for products you use, you continue to have all the perks of the business: a personalized website, customer service, warehousing, research and development, shipping, training, top level support, financial advisors, and more. It was an easy decision for me. I chose this route, and quickly realized that along with all of the benefits, there were several unexpected bonuses -- I found an incredible group of like-mind, faith-committed people who have become my community.

I have been challenged to grow in the areas of faith, family, friends, fitness, and finances. I have faced many mental blocks I didn't know were there, and in addressing them have grown in ways I would never have imagined. And I started when I was 59, and fighting Lymes disease. I had plenty of reasons not to do this - and some great reasons to: we had medical debt, and I felt like a failure in more ways than one as my body was giving out on me. It was time to step out in faith when this opportunity feel into my lap.

It has been a wild, exhilarating ride ~ and I'm looking for others who want to jump in and go for it too! If you're ready to run, click below to answer a few questions, then schedule a call so we can see if this is a good fit for you. Blessings!
